Screen Printer & Sales
The Rock n Roll bar tender
I play music and have done for the last 13 years as a constant. I’m currently playing in Drifts and Frankie and the Heartstrings.
As well as music, I am a self taught DIY screen Printer. Again linked back to music, I was tired of paying people to print my own bands merchandise so started doing it myself in a friend’s garage on a really basic set up. Most of the shirt prints were wonky or washed out but the enthusiasm was there! Since then I now have a studio and have a regular clientele of bands and breweries alike. Pub life.
I have been working in pubs for the last 10 years. I’ve worked in a few around Newcastle and Gateshead, some good some bad. I eventually ended up at the Free Trade Inn and this opened my mind to a different world of beer I hadn't experienced in other bars I had worked in.
It also got me in touch with Mark when I started screen printing his pump clips by hand. I then started working at Almasty on a casual basis focusing on sales and deliveries. Delicious.
Working for Almasty and working in the Free Trade is handy as I like all kinds of beer. I especially like big IPA's or sours however my favourite Almasty beer to date is probably the Salted Caramild which is neither sour or an IPA - it's just delicious.
