Almasty will be making an appearance at our hometown festival Craft Beer Calling on 27/28/29 October.
Curated and hosted by our good friends, Wylam Brewery, Craft Beer Calling has gone from strength to strength since it was launched two years ago. It sees some of the world’s leading craft breweries come together under one roof.
This year will see Almasty showcase some specially brewed ales for the event.
Brewed to be 6.1%, the MK X has taken elements of the last 9 recipes and added even more hops to make sure this is our best version to date.
Some of the barrel-aged Sours will also be available including a 5% Coffee Sour fermented in wet Pinot Noir barrels for 12 months with Brett Yeast. It has then been aged on freshly roasted Yirgacheffe coffee beans.
There will also be an 5% Amarillo Sour fermented in wet Pinot Noir barrels for 12 months with Brett Yeast. This has then been dry hopped with Amarillo and Nelson Sauvin. Both Sours can be aged for greater Brett character.

Almasty has been chosen to take part in this year’s Brewdog #CollabFest.
Together with Brewdog Newcastle and Modern Times Coffee, we’ve produced a Kentucky coffee style brown ale called Morning Glory. A traditional sweet brown ale was used as the base beer for the Modern Times coffee to shine and release all its barrel aged bourbon goodness.
Brewdog's #CollabFest stretches over 2 days and the beer will be available in all of Brewdog’s UK bars from 22nd October, allowing every beerthusiast of the nation the opportunity to sample a little piece of something special.
